1st Moment of Uncertainty

I was supposed to get off at Daejeon Government Complex, which I wad told would be the second stop on the bus ride. When we get to the second stop, I get out and ask the bus driver if this was the right stop through a photo I took earlier.

I wanted to get off at Government Complex.

He said, it was the next stop. This next stop was 25 minutes away and when I got off, nobody was waiting for me. A little alarming but a nice man came up to me and asked where I needed to go. I gave him the cell number of the internship president and they had a brief conversation. He said he would take me there through hand gestures as he didnt speak any english.  The car was a van with some taxi looking stickers on the side but nothing on the top, also in the car there was no meter. After thinkimg I was getting kidnapped for 25 minutes, I arrived to the aparent complex of my homestay. I was greeted by a nice old lady (TN President) and her son, who is 13 and is the primary translator. I get in my room and
there is no storage which is a little uncomfortable but I will try to sort it our.

The other concern is the shower/bath. I’m not really sure how to use it without splashing everywhere, maybe one of you kniw the answer.

The seat warms up automatically.

After getting settled down, my host ordered some fried chicken delivery and her son told me to download some apps. Google translate has an offline feature which is great and I also got an app called kakaotalk which apparently is pretty big here. Right now it is 6AM and I have been awake since 4:45AM. I will post about my day as soon as it is done!
